Access Independent provides occupational therapy services to a variety of different organisations across the UK.
Our core business is helping local authorities to reduce waiting lists and taking care of mobility assessments and other requirements, such as bathing clinics.
The company is run by OTs with many years of experience in social services, enabling it to assist authorities by taking the pressure from their own management, and also by providing a service that helps them meet tough timescales and quality standards.
Every case is checked by an experienced contract manager before being returned to the authority and we also have OTs available with Asian language skills. A recent study by a borough showed that our service proved more cost effective than that provided by locums.
Access Independent consistently uses OTs with many years of experience in social services work and they all have a police check and two good references from present or past employers. As we offer flexible work patterns, we are always able to offer good quality OTs to undertake this work. We also organise induction meetings for the OTs, to be sure they understand the authorities' procedures.
In addition, Access Independent works with other organisations, such as housing associations, insurance companies, charities, care management companies and private individuals, by providing occupational therapy assessments. As we have the largest number of occupational therapists in UK we are always able to provide a local OT to carry out the assessment.
